Orders & Shipping
How fast do you ship?
We fulfill most in-stock orders within 24 business hours and ship via USPS and UPS from our facility in Florida. You'll get tracking by email as soon as your order leaves. See our full shipping policy for cut-off times and details.
Do you offer free shipping?
Yes — free shipping is available on qualifying orders. The threshold and any promotions are shown at checkout. Building a full kit or stocking up on refills is the easiest way to qualify.
Can I track my order?
Absolutely. A tracking number is emailed the moment your order ships. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder or email sales@urbanmedicalgear.com with your order number and we'll resend it.
Do you ship internationally?
We primarily ship within the United States. Some international destinations may be available at checkout, but customers are responsible for any customs duties, taxes, and import restrictions — and certain medical or tactical items can't cross some borders. Email us before ordering if you're outside the US.
Can I place a bulk or department order?
Yes. We supply fire departments, EMS agencies, law enforcement, military units, and industrial safety teams with volume pricing and custom kit configurations. Start on our Bulk & Department Orders page or email sales@urbanmedicalgear.com.

Products & Kits
What is an IFAK, and do I need one?
An IFAK (Individual First Aid Kit) is a compact kit built to treat life-threatening injuries — massive bleeding, airway problems, and chest trauma — not everyday scrapes. If you own a firearm, hunt, drive, work with tools, or spend time far from help, you need one. Read IFAK vs. First Aid Kit to understand the difference, then browse our pre-built kits.
What's actually inside your kits?
Every UMG kit is organized around the MARCH protocol and stocked with proven trauma components — tourniquets, hemostatic and wound-packing gauze, chest seals, pressure dressings, gloves, and shears. Contents vary by kit; compare them side by side on our kits comparison chart.
Are your components genuine North American Rescue (NAR)?
Yes. We're an authorized dealer, and the CAT Gen-7 tourniquets, HyFin chest seals, and gauze in our kits are genuine NAR — the same components issued to the US military and first responders. Beware of counterfeit tourniquets sold on marketplaces; buy from authorized dealers only. Shop the NAR collection.
Can I build a custom kit?
Yes — our Build-My-IFAK tool lets you configure a kit à la carte: pick your pouch, tourniquet, dressings, and adjuncts, and pay only for what you stage. Or start with a stocked kit and add from our individual components.
Do you sell individual components and refills?
We do. Restock exactly what you used without buying a whole new kit — gauze, seals, dressings, gloves, and more are all available individually. Browse Restock & Refills or the full components collection.
What is the MARCH protocol?
MARCH is the order you treat life threats: Massive hemorrhage, Airway, Respiration, Circulation, Hypothermia. It's the same sequence taught in Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC), and it's how our kits and collections are organized. Learn it in our free MARCH Protocol Guide.

Returns & Guarantee
What is your return policy?
Most items may be returned within 14 days of delivery (up to 30 days on select vendor-fulfilled items). Contact us first to confirm eligibility; items must be unused, in original packaging, and free of biohazard exposure. Full terms are on our Return Policy and Refund Policy pages.
How does the Deployment Ready Guarantee work?
If you deploy your kit during a life-threatening emergency, we offer a one-time 10% emergency refill discount to replace the used items. It doesn't apply to the bag/pouch or expired items. Provide your order number, a brief incident summary, and photos of the event and/or used items — all claims are subject to approval.
What qualifies as "used items" for the refill discount?
Consumables deployed in care: hemostatic gauze, chest seals, ETDs/compressed gauze, gloves, tape, and airway adjuncts where applicable. Not included: bags/pouches, unused components, or items that are simply past their expiration date.
How do I request the emergency refill?
Email sales@urbanmedicalgear.com with your order number, the date/time of the event, a short description, and clear photos of the used items. Once approved, we send a custom discount link for the matching refill items.
Why don't you offer a "lifetime free replacement"?
Because it isn't free — brands that advertise it quietly raise retail prices by $50–$300 to cover it. We price cost-plus and keep it honest: you pay a fair price up front, and we back it with the Deployment Ready Guarantee when it actually matters. No gimmicks.
04
Medical & Usage
Do I need training to use this gear?
Yes — gear is only half the equation. A tourniquet you don't know how to apply is just expensive nylon. We strongly recommend a certified course such as Stop the Bleed (about 90 minutes) or TCCC. Browse our education & training resources for guides and video walk-throughs. This gear is not a substitute for professional medical care or training.
Do trauma supplies expire?
Yes — sterile dressings, hemostatic gauze, chest seal adhesives, and medications all have shelf lives, and heat accelerates degradation. Check your kit regularly and rotate aging consumables. Read our guides on shelf life and storage conditions, then restock from Restock & Refills.
How often should I check my kit?
Inspect quarterly at minimum — more often for vehicle-staged kits exposed to heat. Our 15-minute quarterly audit walks you through it, and the restock checklist helps you resupply efficiently.
Are these products FDA-cleared / for professional use?
Our kits are built with components that meet industry standards for civilian and professional emergency use, and many are the same items issued to military and EMS. Statements on our product pages have not been evaluated by the FDA and are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any disease. Always seek qualified training and call 911 in an emergency.
05
Discounts & Payment
Do you offer a military or first responder discount?
Yes — verified active & retired military, military families, first responders, and government employees get an exclusive discount through GovX ID. It verifies instantly. Get yours on our GovX ID discount page.
Are your kits HSA or FSA eligible?
Many trauma-care components may qualify for HSA/FSA reimbursement depending on your plan. Email sales@urbanmedicalgear.com after purchase and we'll send an itemized receipt to submit for reimbursement.
Do you offer wholesale pricing?
Yes, for agencies, departments, retailers, and group buys. Volume pricing and custom configurations are available — see Bulk & Department Orders or contact our sales team directly.
